Mr Amol Chitre is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon based in Manchester, with specialist expertise in hip and knee conditions. His practice includes hip and knee replacements, knee arthroscopy, and the management of joint pain.

He completed his medical degree at the University of Manchester in 2001, followed by specialist orthopaedic training across the North West. In 2011 he achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, and by 2013 he was entered onto the specialist register in trauma and orthopaedics.

Alongside his clinical work, Mr Chitre plays a central role in training and leadership. He is the Major Trauma Lead at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, acts as an NHS Peer Reviewer for major trauma, and contributes to the Specialist Training Committee for Orthopaedics in the North West. He also regularly teaches on courses covering hip replacement, revision surgery, and trauma management.

Mr Chitre has contributed widely to medical education and research, with peer-reviewed journal articles, chapters in orthopaedic textbooks, and exam preparation materials for junior surgeons among his published work.
