Mr Ben Okafor is an experienced consultant in trauma and orthopaedics, with a specialist focus on spinal surgery. His expertise covers a wide range of conditions, including spinal stenosis, scoliosis, spinal fractures, disc replacement and reconstruction, as well as both lumbar and cervical spinal procedures. He consults privately at The Harley Street Hospital, The London Clinic, and Spire London East Hospital.

After graduating with an MBBS from St Bartholomew’s Medical School in 1987, he went on to achieve Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1992. He further advanced his training with a fellowship in trauma and orthopaedic surgery across the UK in 1996. His clinical interests include complex spinal operations, spinal fusions, lumbar spine disorders, sciatica, spinal deformities, back pain, and spinal tumours.

Alongside his surgical practice, Mr Okafor holds an academic role as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at St Bartholomew’s Medical School, London. He has also contributed extensively to medical literature, publishing numerous peer-reviewed papers. His research particularly focuses on outcomes following spinal surgery, non-fusion spinal techniques, spinal injections, and interbody fusion procedures.
