Mr Sulaiman Alazzawi is a consultant orthopaedic and trauma surgeon based in South West London and Surrey. His expertise lies in hip and knee replacements, ranging from standard operations to complex and revision (re-do) procedures for patients with failed, painful, or unstable implants. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, he provides tailored care for individuals who require advanced reconstructive surgery.
He graduated with an MBChB before becoming a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) and went on to complete a master’s degree at University College London. He later achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma and Orthopaedics (FRCS Tr&Orth) through the Royal London training programme, recognised as one of the UK’s leading orthopaedic rotations.
Mr Alazzawi further developed his skills through international fellowships, first in Hannover, Germany, focusing on trauma surgery, and later in Vancouver, Canada, where he specialised in adult hip and knee reconstruction. His academic and teaching interests have taken him to world-renowned institutions including ENDO-Klinik Hamburg and the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.
He has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed research papers and contributed to multiple book chapters, particularly in the field of hip and knee surgery. In addition, he is an active reviewer for respected journals such as the Bone & Joint Journal, The Knee, and The BMJ.
